Warwick Valley Schools Named Best

US News and World Reports named Warwick Valley one of the 2012 Best High Schools.

The magazine awarded more than 4,850 gold, silver and bronze medals to the top performing schools. WVHS earned a silver award and was ranked 1,143 nationally and 143rd in the state.

This year, the US news reviewed 22,000 public high schools.  To determine national rankings, public high schools were analyed at the state level in terms of student performance on state assessments and then ranked nationally in terms of college readiness.

The opportunity for students to take Advanced Placement course work and exams was cited in the review.
